The mission of the AI Index is to provide unbiased, rigorously vetted, and globally sourced data for policymakers, researchers, journalists, executives, and the general public to develop a deeper understanding of the complex field of AI. To achieve this, we track, collate, distill, and visualize data relating to artificial intelligence.

This working group paper from EDUCAUSE presents a comprehensive framework for AI Literacy in Teaching and Learning (ALTL) in higher education, addressing the need for institutions to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI). The framework equips students, faculty, and staff to engage effectively and ethically with AI technologies in academic and professional contexts.

The survey was conducted Nov. 4-Dec. 7, 2024, by the American Association of Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) and Elon University’s Imagining the Digital Future Center.
