What Are eBooks?

An eBook is the electronic or digital version of a print book. As a Jefferson College user, you have access to our expanding collection of Overdrive and EBSCO eBooks through Archway and MOBIUS catalogs.

Why Use eBooks?

With eBooks users have the options to:

  • Download eBooks onto electronic devices such as smartphones, desktops, laptops, and tablets
  • Print, e-mail, or save certain chapters or pages (typically up the 60 pages)
  • Search for phrases or keywords within an eBook
  • Save favorite eBook titles to personal bookshelf
  • Place holds on eBook titles that are currently checked-out
