Citizen Science Month 2021: Citizen Science Month

April is Citizen Science Month. This guide has resources to help you learn about how to get involved and how the library can help.

Citizen Science Month

April is Citizen Science Month. The Library is here to help you participate.  You can help with medical research, astronomical research, research efforts happening right here in Missouri, and much more.

A citizen scientist can be anyone who voluntarily and actively engages in scientific research, typically in formal or informal collaboration with professional scientists. Citizen scientists share and follow protocols to advance scientific knowledge.

Jefferson College Library has specialized equipment, videos, books, magazines, scholarly journals, children's books,  and other resources to help new and experienced citizen scientists learn more about the world around us and contribute to a greater community understanding of our universe.

And, April 22 is Earth Day.  Being a Citizen Scientist is a great way to celebrate.
