To ensure that library materials can be found and accessed, Jefferson College Library follows international, national, state, and regional protocols and best practices for cataloging. Most of our materials are cataloged and arranged on shelves according to the Library of Congress Classification System. However, federal government documents are arranged by Superintendent of Documents Classification System (SuDoc) and several in-house systems are used for items such as CDs, DVDs, archival materials and children's books. See our Cataloging Policy for more information.
