Jefferson College Library's primary role is to support the mission of the College by acquiring, organizing, preserving, and facilitating access to materials that support the curriculum and mission of the College. We collect these materials in a variety of formats. We also collect materials for lifelong learning and personal enrichment of our entire community. We are an academic library that is open to the public. As such, our collections skew toward scholarly titles, but we have a wide range of popular titles, children's books, and other items one might expect in a public library. We also have access to materials from many public libraries throughout Missouri.
Jefferson College Library policies are meant to inform and guide practices and procedures that ensure adherence to College policies and procedures, State and Federal Laws, and professional best practices as articulated by the American Library Association and the Association of College and Research Libraries. See specific policy areas listed below or to the left to learn more about borrowing, facilities use, privacy, confidentiality, collection development and more.
